- Candle Ornament - BYREDO

Description

IITTALA × BYREDO brings together two Nordic houses united by craftsmanship, material and sensory experience. Founded in Finland, IITTALA is renowned for its long-standing expertise in glassmaking and for transforming everyday objects through design.Together, they imagined LJUS, meaning “light” or “candle” in Swedish, a collection inspired by the Nordic relationship with light, scent and glass. Conceived around the rituals of everyday life, each object explores how these elements can shape mood, atmosphere and presence within a space. The LJUS Candle Ornament is a multifunctional glass object designed to extend the life and presence of the candle beyond the moment it is lit.Mouth-blown and handcrafted at the IITTALA Glass Factory in Finland, it can be placed over a Byredo 240g scented candle as a decorative cover when the candle is not in use, or turned over and used as a candle stand. Its sculptural form makes it an object in its own right, balancing function with the expressive qualities of hand-crafted glass. Never use the Candle Ornament to extinguish a burning candle. - Byredo Candle Ornament
