Cristal Rosé 2008 comes very close to the ideal of this cuvée: perfect maturity combined with crystal freshness ! Cristal Rosé 2008 has been aged for 8 years in bottle and also benefits from a minimum of 8 months rest after disgorgement to perfect its maturity. The dosage is 8 g/l. To elaborate its rosé champagnes, Louis Roederer has developed over the years a way that is unique in Champagne. Called "infusion" in the House, it allows to extract the juicy and ripe side of the Pinots Noirs while preserving a great freshness. Thus, some Chardonnay juices are poured into a Pinot Noir maceration, to ferment together and integrate perfectly. Bright pink color with some salmon reflections. Soft and regular effervescence that starts all over the glass and gives an almost creamy appearance. Delicate, subtle bouquet where, at first nose, the fine scents of flower petals and dried fruits mingle. Then come the small acidic red fruits of currant and wild strawberry which characterize our old vines of Pinots Noirs d'Ay.
