The Celebris Vintage 2012 cuvée is the fruit of the expertise of the oldest Wine House in Champagne. An exceptional cuvée, only the 9th since the range was inaugurated in 1995 to embody the identity of Champagne Gosset.designed to celebrate the passing of time and the shaping of precious nectars, these confidential cuvées reveal complex, unique aromatic palettes, born of vintages of exceptional character. Marked by a sunny year, the harvest offered clear, fruity and gourmet wines. With 70% Chardonnay, the blend is dominated by the elegance and minerality characteristic of this grape variety, underlined by the fruitiness and structure of the Pinot Noir. The wines matured for over 10 years, then kept in the semi-darkness of the house cellars for a minimum of 9 months after disgorgement. The long ageing process has created a fine balance between freshness, fruitiness and vinosity, without masking either its character or its purity. Golden and luminous, La robe of this cuvée reveals a fine crystalline bubble. The nose reveals the freshness of pear, as well as citrus notes, such as sweet orange and grapefruit. As the wine warms up, gourmet aromas develop, evoking Bourdaloue tart and its succulent pear/almond marriage. The structured palate offers great depth, oscillating between tension and density. After an attack highlighted by citrus and vanilla blossom, aromas of gooseberry, raspberry and yellow-fleshed red cherry line the palate. With its rich, complex aromas, Cuvée Gosset Celebris Vintage 2012 can be enjoyed throughout a full-flavored meal. It's the ideal accompaniment to dishes with eXOtic tones, such as veal with pineapple, pork with prunes or chicken brochettes with lemongrass. And, for dessert, this Grand Champagne will highlight the flavors of an apricot and basil tart.
