Light Refractor - BYREDO

Description

IITTALA × BYREDO brings together two Nordic houses united by craftsmanship, material and sensory experience. Founded in Finland, IITTALA is renowned for its long-standing expertise in glassmaking and for transforming everyday objects through design.Together, they imagined LJUS, meaning “light” or “candle” in Swedish, a collection inspired by the Nordic relationship with light, scent and glass. Conceived around the rituals of everyday life, each object explores how these elements can shape mood, atmosphere and presence within a space. The LJUS Light Refractor is shaped around the tension between fire and ice. Mouth-blown at the IITTALA Glass Factory in Finland, its rhythmic glass form catches the movement of a candle flame and refracts it through the room.Designed for Byredo 240g scented candles, it transforms candlelight into an evolving play of warmth and reflection while adding a sculptural presence to the home. - Byredo Light Refractor
