Cometic multi layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gaskets are designed to provide maximum sealing performance for high output engines and require no additional sealants or re-torquing.Provides better sealing than OEM gasketsIdeal for tuned engines with higher compression or higher boost levelsVarious thicknesses are available to fine tune compression ratio No other sealants requiredMLS gaskets, as the name suggests, are made up of multiple layers of stainless steel with embossed outer layers and a heat resistant Viton coating. This design makes them resistant to corrosion and able to withstand high heat (250 deg C) and load conditions. These properties make the Cometic MLS head gaskets ideal for use on high performance engines with cast iron or aluminium heads.Some applications have an MLX gasket option. These are based on the MLS gaskets but have an integrated 'stopper' layer which creates a sealing ring around the combustion chamber. This improves clamp loads without excessive bore distortion.
