Handcrafted in Saint Jean de Moirans, France, the Paraboot Chambord offers undeniable quality, with skilled local workers transforming raw leather and rubber into the stunning final product that sits before you. The upper of the shoe uses homogeneous cow skin, which is pressed with a smooth, warm plate before being cut and sewn into the Chambord's unique shape. The derby-style shoes also feature a front apron with 45-degree stitching, a technique that only Paraboot employs. Five eyelets ensure secure fastening and leather lining makes for undenible on foot comfort. A thick rubber sole adds to the shoe's distinctive visuals and is attached to the upper using the Norweigian Double Welt. This welt is a century-old craft that attaches the sole and upper with added durability and water resistance. Thanks to their traditional construction they offer the ability to be re-soled should they begin to wear away with the years, making them an incredibly sustainable option. With proper care and attention, these shoes should last a lifetime.
